Introducing: Cody Feechan

Who are your three main musical influencers?

I always love someone who has a unique voice. Janis Joplin is always at the top of my list- her vocals is something else! Kelly Jones is also amazing, I can listen to his voice all day long. It’s hard to choose three as there are so many artists who have influenced me in so many different ways- Stevie Nicks, Suzi Quatro, The Cranberries, The Proclaimers and so on.

What would you say your biggest musical achievement is so far?

My biggest achievement I would say is getting into the Official UK Charts for Scottish Singles with my single ‘Free Falling (Clear Six Remix)’ last year. On top of that I have had such a successful year with my latest releases which has seen me make several appearances in the Singer-Songwriter Chart on iTunes as well as breaking into the Official iTunes Chart. I never thought I would ever make it into the charts so I am massively proud of these achievements.

What are your plans for the near future? Do you have any recent or upcoming releases?

My new single ‘Breathe’ was released last week and it has had such a great response. It reached number 2 in the Singer-Songwriter Chart on iTunes as well as climbing to number 75 in the Official iTunes Chart. It has also secured airplay on BBC Radio Scotland and RTE Radio 1. The music video for ‘Breathe’ was released on 02.04.21. I couldn’t have asked for anymore with this track, the response has been amazing!

I have gigs and festivals booked for over the summer however because of the current pandemic I will just need to be patient and hope that these get to go ahead. There eventually seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel so fingers crossed they do. I am desperately needing gigs back in my life!
